About Me
My name is Tracy Lavin. I live in Anchorage, Alaska & I am a born & raised Alaskan. I am a business owner Tracy's Loving Care Services. I provide individualized support services to elders & disabled persons within the community. I began drawing & painting with a prior client of mine several years ago. My interest was sparked by working with this client, a fellow painter, whose painting skills had faded. I took photos of flowers in my garden, printed out the photos then drew & painted from the floral photos onto canvas in oil paints with my client observing me while I painted. A very special connection was made between this client & I, as she inspired me with her presence & I brought back to life her lost interest in the arts. My passion for oil painting grew. The more photos I put to canvas, the better I become as an artist. I have discovered that painting is a way for me to express my feelings & create something beautiful to cherish. My goal as an artist is to share these paintings with others & pass along the story behind each piece.
